I am an itinerant biophysicist/consultant/data scientist currently working on problems involving drug delivery, cellular characterization, science education, and pollution in the San Joaquin Valley.

My past research lives have included postdoctoral work at UW Madison creating numerical models for flowing liquid crystals, a postdoc at UMass Amherst studying the geometric mechanics of folded structures, a postdoc at UCLA  looking at melting biopolymer filaments and submerged particle micro-rheology, as well as my graduate work at UCSD studying the interplay of geometry, continuum mechanics, and active materials.
